Väinöntalo – Järviseutu museum is located in Evijärvi. The museum was put together by home region councilor Väinö Tuomaala to represent the life of a lake region peasants, showing everyday life and celebrations, old-time handicrafts, beliefs and hunting & customs culture. There are 19 buildings in the museum area and about 20,000 objects in the collections.
