Lappajärvi Museum
Lappajärvi museum is located in the former town hall of Lappajärvi, which was built as the main building for a farmhouse in Soini between 1790 and 1800. The building was moved then to its current location in the 1840s to serve as a common house for the municipalities of Evijärvi, Kortesjärvi, Lappajärvi and Vimpeli. The building served as a courthouse from the 1840s until the 1970s.
The museum offersexhibitions about the history of the congregation, War Veterans, Folk School and Lappajärven Veikot.The museum offers also exhibition called:”Lappajärvi Dam Revolt 1979 / 40 years from the Lappajärvi Dam Revolt”, produced by the Lappajärvi Society.
